THE PET SET  CELEBRATES  SECOND ANNIVERSARY  EXHIBITING AT THE NATIONAL STATIONERY SHOW

The Pet Set will showcase its award-winning stationery collection at the National Stationery Show, running May 15-18 2008, at the Javits Convention Center in New York, New York. 

For the second straight year,The Pet Set  -- a LOUIE award-winning collection of high-end stationery and greeting cards that showcase elaborate illustrations of dogs --- will display its entire collection at the National Stationery Show this May. 

The Pet Set, launched in 2005, was created in the tradition of such luxury stationers as Smythson of Bond Street and Mrs. John L. Strong  ? featuring hand painted illustrations, luxurious paper, sophisticated production enhancements such as embossing, and stochastic printing and just an overall presentation of refinement and luxury.

"We have created an exciting category within several traditional segments ? luxury stationery featuring dogs.  This may be a unique concept for gift and stationery boutiques?but it is especially so for pet stores  which are more apt to embrace toys, clothing and collars", says Kim Banks, creator of The Pet Set.   "Many of us certainly indulge our dogs with everything else these days?why not beautiful stationery?"

"Could there be a more sincere and a truly 'sent from the heart' gesture than a note that is sent with a gorgeous illustration of a dog on it?"

Each design presents dogs in a genteel, dignified and graceful manner, with fashion, jewelry and a "tongue in snout" nod toward "the posh life" being key design and copy elements.  The hallmark of the collection is its breed specific correspondence note cards.

The Pet Set Collection of over 80 products includes correspondence notes, greetings, announcements, invitations, thank you cards, gift enclosures and more.  The company plans to introduce 6 new breed designs and formal writing paper in 2007.

Each card theme is presented in signature, boxed sets.  The company's focus is on sets of fine stationery, rather than individual greeting cards.

All art represents either breed-specific representations of dogs, or social scenes and sentiments of dogs and their owners.  All greeting cards feature art and verbal sentiments on the front and inside of each card.  Correspondence notes and gift enclosures are blank inside.
